Summer Camp Volunteers act as assistant instructors for our summer camps and receive training in our unique approach to mentoring youth in nature, which focuses on curiosity, play and asking questions as much or more than a delivery of facts. You can learn more about this approach by exploring Coyote’s Guide to Connecting with Nature, available from our web store.
This popular day camp packs in an exciting week of fishing, aquatic exploration, and playing along the shore.
At Fishing Skills Camp, kids learn how to catch wild freshwater fish from our local waters. They’ll engage in all aspects of fishing from knot-tying and baiting a hook to cleaning and cooking their catch. Engaging mentors will teach campers casting and fishing techniques as they explore the water’s edge. Each day will offer many opportunities for fun with aquatic-life-oriented games and challenges.
