Campers don’t just play outside—they gain real survival skills, connect deeply with the land, and build lasting confidence in the outdoors. Every activity is hands-on, age-appropriate, and led by experienced mentors who inspire curiosity and resilience.

For convenience and accessibility, Ember and Arrow includes van transportation from our basecamp location at Marymoor Park-Lot K in Redmond. Families can drop campers off and pick them up with ease while their campers safely embark on an exciting wilderness adventure.

Duvall Pick-up/Drop-off: For parents wishing to drive their camper directly to our Linne Doran campus, drop-off time is 9:00am and pick-up is at 4:00pm.

Archery has been a favorite summer camp activity for generations! Campers will have a blast practicing archery in a safe, structured environment. This builds focus, hand-eye coordination, patience, and discipline, while helping them develop confidence in their abilities.

Campers learn the fundamentals of building and safely tending a fire. From understanding fire safety and respecting natural resources to exploring traditional techniques, they gain skills that foster confidence and self-reliance.

Using natural materials from the forest, campers practice creating safe, functional shelters. This teaches problem-solving, teamwork, and observation, while giving campers a deeper connection to their environment.

Learning to harvest wild foods is fun, delicious, and nourishing. Under careful guidance, campers will enjoy harvesting edible plants, herbs, and berries, learning to identify what is safe and sustainable. Foraging teaches mindfulness, respect for ecosystems, and responsible interactions with plants.

At Mythical Creatures, the forest becomes a realm alive with stories and imagination. Our adventures use mythical creatures to teach real ecology, tracking skills, wildlife awareness, and plant knowledge. Campers will create their own illustrated scroll of common edible plants and the playful “magic” each one carries. Throughout the week, they’ll use these ingredients to safely make potions or wild teas, practicing sensory awareness while learning real-world plant knowledge.

Nature Detective Day Camp invites young adventurers to follow the trail of nature’s clues while solving mysteries, exploring habitats, and developing keen observation skills in the wild.

This camp invites children to step into the role of a nature detective. They’ll follow clues, notice patterns, solve mini-mysteries, and discover the living world through hands-on exploration and curiosity-driven play.

Nature Detectives spend their days searching for animal tracks, identifying feathers and plants, exploring habitats, and playing games that build awareness and teamwork. Every day is an adventure and every discovery tells a story.

This is the ultimate day camp for kids who love to move, play, and discover the magic of nature while becoming true Guardians of the Wild!

At Ranger Skills Camp, kids will learn to move silently and fluidly, discover the art of camouflage, and mimic wild animals. They’ll be free to run, jump, and engage in wild play in the woods while learning safe and easy natural movement techniques.

Campers will learn to calm their mind like a Jedi, move in rhythm with the forest like Aragorn, and explore the world as a Ranger!

At Knife and Knot, campers learn an array of practical survival skills through hands-on and engaging activities! Kids will spend their week learning knife safety and carving, navigation, knots, shelter-making, water filtration, and the essentials of a survival kit. They’ll have fun learning the craft of knot-tying and using knife skills for a carving project. Campers will also learn to track their surroundings as they learn basic mapping skills.

Campers will learn real-life survival skills in fun and exciting ways! Campers will gain techniques for making and tending fire. We’ll teach knife safety, how to identify and harvest wild edible plants, water purification, and delicious campfire cooking techniques. Campers will build shelters and create fun and useful crafts such as baskets, tools, spoons, or cordage (natural rope).

At Mythical Creatures, the forest becomes a realm alive with stories and imagination. Our adventures use mythical creatures to teach real ecology, tracking skills, wildlife awareness, and plant knowledge. From studying the flight patterns of a phoenix to tracking unicorns,  observing  the clues left by their closest real world relatives, nature becomes a world of personality and learning becomes an unforgettable quest. Campers may set out on a dragon egg hunt, design whimsical faerie houses, craft mystical artifacts from natural materials, or try to catch a mischievous gnome hidden along winding woodland paths. Each day invites them into story-driven quests that encourage them to move, think, and explore like the mythical creatures they love.

This immersive overnight experience invites campers to become villagers of an enchanted land and journey deeper into the forest’s heart, where imagination intertwines with hands-on exploration and a new magical story unfolds each time they return. 

Villagers practice naming the creatures, plants, and patterns of the natural world while deepening their sense of relationship with the forest around them in imaginative ways. Throughout their stay, Enchanted Forest Villager’s days are filled attending magical lessons like:

✨ Wayfinding: learn how to read the quiet clues of the forest through games, activities, and ancient practices.

✨Potions: Villagers will learn to identify and ethically forage for ingredients from nature to harness their plant properties and powers, mixing potions around the campfire.

✨Creature Care: we’ll bring real and imaginary creatures to life through embodiment, games, and tracking. Learn how they move, communicate, hide, hunt, and help the ecosystem thrive.

✨Enchantments: creativity will fly while crafting a wand, staff, talisman, and other nature charms to take home. They will  learn the lore of different types of trees and what magical real life qualities each is said to hold. 

✨Labyrinth :  a mysterious realm of quests, riddles, puzzles, and obstacles. Villagers take on magical challenges building confidence with skills, teamwork, and forging memories with companions.

Volunteers will be arriving at 10:00am on Sunday and leave on Friday at 4:00pm and will be camping on the land with instructors and students. 

“Deserted island” scenarios make for an exciting week at this overnight camp, with plenty of skills, challenges, games, and imaginative play. 

Castaway Survival is an action-packed week that boasts an engaging array of activities, skills, projects, and challenges. Campers and their instructors find themselves on a “deserted island.” They must work together to thrive throughout the week with minimal gear, survival skills, and whatever the tide washes in.

Each student will have the opportunity to stretch their imagination and push their comfort zone physically, mentally, and emotionally in a safe environment supported by experienced staff.

Castaway Camp allows kids to explore their creativity, push their limits, collaborate, and deepen their gratitude.

Volunteers will be arriving at 10:00am on Sunday and leave on Friday at 4:00pm and will be camping on the land with instructors and students. 

Wilderness Survival Overnight is all about the skills. Campers stay engaged by learning all of our favorite survival skills and putting them to the test!

Campers will spend an exciting week honing their ability to survive in the wilderness! They’ll learn to build a fire, identify and harvest edible and medicinal plants, cook over an open fire, and create a shelter. We’ll teach knife safety and guide them through exciting adventures off-trail. Campers will connect with their fellow survivors as they support each other in learning and practicing their skills.

This overnight program builds on the skills taught at our Survival Skills Day Camp and goes much deeper, putting skills into practice and receiving more elaborate lessons.

Volunteers will be arriving at 10:00am on Sunday and leave on Friday at 4:00pm and will be camping on the land with instructors and students. 

At Bowcraft Overnight, campers spend an exciting week crafting and shooting their own bow! 

This popular overnight camp walks older kids through the steps of building their own wooden longbow from a simple board. They’ll use a knife and file, and develop traditional and instinctive archery skills with their completed project. Campers will learn tactics for sneaking undetected through the forest, and experience exciting adventures off-trail. This camp is highly recommended for those who enjoy focusing on a project and working with hand tools.

Volunteers will be arriving at 10:00am on Sunday and leaving on Friday at 4:00pm and will be camping on the land with instructors and students.

They’ll practice different ways of moving invisibly, dressing in camouflage, understanding Bird Language (the alarm system of the forest), tracking wildlife and human movement, and identifying edible plants. Those who enter the world of the Ranger will likely never see nature the same way again!

Please Note: This is a highly physical camp, and requires a certain level of independence and flexibility in order to be a good fit.
